As the capital city of Zhejiang Province, Hangzhou, a central city in the Yangtze River Delta, is the province's economic, cultural and educational center and one of China's historic cities and primary tourist destinations. Today's Hangzhou also stands out among Chinese cities for a branded image as the city of quality life.
　　With a view to promote the city's distinctive features and image, the Municipal Government of Hangzhou has set up the Office of the Call for Design Entries of the City Logo of Hangzhou (abbreviated as the Call Office thereinafter) and officially launched the call for design entries.
　　We warmly welcome interested individuals and organizations to participate in our call for entries. For further information, you can go to http://english.hangzhou.gov.cn to download this invitation letter and other related documents.
　　You are kindly requested to read those documents carefully before you start to design the logo, sign the legal documents and submit your entry in person or by post. The submission is valid from May 15 through 6pm, August 15, 2007.
