As the number of international charter and extra flights to and from Hangzhou increased significantly during the Spring Festival, the passenger flow has set a record high.

Statistics show that the number of international charter flights, extra flights and newly launched flights at Xiaoshan Airport amounted to 417 during the seven days from January 22 to 29, up 13.93% YoY. The number of passengers going through customs stood at 73,220, up 16.27% YoY.

Hangzhou customs inspection deployed more police to ensure the custom clearance around the clock as an increasing of red eye flights were launched to handle the passenger flow explosion.

Tourists are travelling further and longer than previous years. Besides Indonesia’ Bali, Thailand’s Long Island and Korea’s Jeju, charter flights to Maldives and Guam offered people with more tourism options. Economical individual trips and self-service tours have gradually become favored.
