In 2009, the investment of environment protection of financial revenue reached 0.975 billion yuan, up by 30.7%. Weather comprehensive detec tion sys tem, including 260 automatic region weather stations, 19 air monitoring stations of negative oxygen ions, 28 stations of atmospheric electric field, 7 lightning location system sets, 9 GPS / MET water vapor monitoring stations, 8 acid rain monitoring stations, mobile monitoring and information transfer systems have been completed. The amount of the total emission of industrial chemical oxygen demand (COD) and that of the sulfur dioxide discharge was dropped 4.1% and 3.7% compared with the previous year respectively. The centralized disposal rate of city sewage rose from 83.2% of the previous year to 89.61%. The proportion of supervised break-face water quality above third level was 60.7%, 3.6 percentage point increased. The number of days which air quality in the urban area reached Ⅱ -level or above Ⅱ-level were 327, more than 26 over the previous year. By the end of 2009, parks per capita in the urban area reached 15.48 square meters, up by 11.4%.
