Investment in Urban Construction
In 2009, major transport projects started, such as Xiaoshan Air por t Highway, Qianjiang Channel and Southern Connection (Qianjiang Road), Hangzhou-Xinanjiang- Jingdezhen Expressway extension route (Zhijiang River Bridge), Qingchun Road Tunnel, Hangchang Highway; the highway from Shanghai to Hangzhou completed. Controlling project of "10 Vertical Roads and 10 Roads" was completed in an all-over way. Hangzhou had made notable achievements in integrated river protection project and 47 were completed in urban area. The third-phase of Seven Grid Sewage Treatment Plant finished the water test. There were 87 Street and Lane,353 yards and 1590 houses improved, 238 public toilets enhanced, 60 roads repaired, 200 wells protected and 329 Intercepting sewer project completed, with the date increased sewage 42,000 tons.83 lights along the West Lake, the Grand Canal, Qianjiang New City and Wulin Business District were completed, with 97.71% in coverage of lighting management. The urban road lighting rate reached 98.9%.

【Qianjiang New City Construction】
Around the target of "Hangzhou's CBD, the city's landmark, the service platform owners", the construction of major projects in Qianjiang New City Core Zone with 4 square kilometers was completed comprehensively. The Citizen Center, the International Conference Center, Hangzhou Theater, became the new landmark of Hangzhou. 【Public Utilities】
The comprehensive service level of public utilities was improved. A total of 58,000 KVA of power transformer equipment with a capacity of over 35 kilovolts and 262.27 kilometers cables of 110 KV or above lines were increased in Hangzhou power network. The power consumption in the city reached 45.97 billion KWH, up by 6.9% over the previous year. Of the total, the power consumption of urban and rural residents was 5.640 billion KWH, up by 10.1%. A total of 3.20 million cubic meters of tap water was supplied in the urban area. By the end of the year, the number of households used natural gas reached 509,000, up by 17.0% compared with the end of the previous year.
